Embracing TikTok

I’ve had a TikTok account for a while. I was a passive scroller. But, today I made my first video based on my blog post. It’s about how building a great team is like cooking a good meal. You need the right people, not just a lot of people.

I wanted to share a simple thought: making a successful team is like making a great dish. It’s more about having the right team members than having many. I used hashtags like #leadership and #hiring to reach people who might like this idea.

The Challenge

I’m okay with speaking at events, but TikTok was new for me. It took me quite a few tries to get it right. The sound wasn’t great, and I’m still learning how TikTok works. But I wanted to give it a shot.

Jumping into TikTok felt new and a bit tricky. The videos are short, so I had to get my point across quickly. Using TikTok and editing video wasn’t as easy but I had fun.

Reflecting on It

Making my first TikTok video wasn’t just about trying a new app. It was about figuring out how to share my ideas in a new way. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a start. So that’s the story of my first TikTok video. I’m looking forward to making more and getting better at this. I hope you’ll join me on this journey and see what else I come up with! Here’s my video!

Building an all-star team is a bit like cooking a nice dish. It’s less about throwing in a lot of ingredients. It’s more about using just the right ones to create something truly delicious. Your team is your recipe for success, and as any top cook will tell you, the best recipes don’t need the most ingredients; they require the right ones. #leadership #hiring #talent #growth
