On May 20th, we set out from Dublin at 6:30 pm, embarking on a memorable hiking adventure to Errigal Mountain and the Stairway to Heaven.
The trip began with a peaceful drive to Letterkenny, where we arrived at 10:00 pm to rest up for the next day's activities. The foggy morning greeted us as we left for Errigal Mountain at 8:30 am. The mountain was covered in a dense fog, adding an air of mystique to our journey. The group followed a steady trail, while I decided to challenge myself with mountain running.

We wrapped up our hike by lunchtime. I rewarded myself with a delicious steak meal. The day wasn't over yet, though. Despite the rain and an onslaught of pesky flies, we made our way to Glenveagh National Park, taking a leisurely stroll through the picturesque Glenveagh Castle Gardens.

The following day, we embarked on our hike to the Stairway to Heaven at 9 am. This day was particularly delightful as we encountered several frolicking lambs on our trail, a sight that brought smiles to our faces and made the hike even more enjoyable. By 3 pm, we'd completed the hike, concluding it on a high note.

After the hike, we headed to Cavan for some good Indian food. We made it back to Dublin at 9 pm, tired but content.
Errigal was beautiful, but the lambs on the Stairway to Heaven were the surprise of the trip. Sharing both hikes with friends made the day memorable. I’m already looking forward to our next one.
